We offer two grades of vintage pens:
These pens have been serviced and repaired as needed. We guarantee they will function perfectly as they did when they were new.
We restore rare pens and those whose condition is suited to it to as close as possible to their original condition using the techniques developed over five decades of repairing pens. These make fine gifts, are appreciated by collectors and are for people who want a pen for their own use.
Condition Rating System:
All our vintage pens are in working order and we categorise their condition as follows:
As New: the pen is a new pen, which has not been used. If required, (for example replacement of a rubber sac, which naturally perishes over time) the pen has been fully serviced, enabling it to function just as it did when it was new.
Excellent: the pen is in excellent to outstanding condition, almost new, with very few if any visible scuffs or tarnish marks.
Good: the pen is in good condition for its age and may have some minor visible scuffs or slight tarnishing of the clip, as you would expect for a pre-loved pen of its vintage.
Fair: the pen may have a small dent or a noticeable scratch which will be identified in its description.
Poor: it is not our practice to sell vintage pens in poor condition, any flaws will be identified in the description.
